The transect begins 2 meters west of ARCSS grid point D09 and extends south ending 2 meters west of ARCSS grid point F09. The total length of the transect is 200 meters. Measurements were taken at every 2 meters along the transect on the east side of the transect to avoid any disturbances. The location of the snow melt transect was chosen using ArcGIS tools.
