Description
Summary:Measurements of physical and biogeochemical properties are completed on sea-ice cores collected in landfast and drifting sea ice near Barrow, Alaska. Measured parameters include ice depth, bulk salinity, ice temperature, stable isotopes of oxygen and deuterium, and snow depth. Data are collected as part of the Seasonal Ice Zone Observing Network (SIZONet) and the Alaska Ocean Observing System (AOOS), by the sea-ice research group at the Geophysical Institute, University of Alaska Fairbanks, P.O.
