Locations were assigned based on the village name, and were geolocated using the United States Geological Survey places dataset. The output data file (federally_recognized_tribes_geolocated.csv) includes the name, city, region, and coordinates associated with each federally recognized tribe in Alaska. The package also includes the .Rmd file (tribes_geolocating.Rmd) detailing the processing steps and the rendered .html file (tribes_geolocating.html), which includes a datatable and interactive map.

Locations were assigned based on the village name, and were geolocated using the United States Geological Survey places dataset. The output data file (federally_recognized_tribes_geolocated.csv) includes the name, city, region, and coordinates associated with each federally recognized tribe in Alaska.
