Description
Summary:This dataset contains files associated with converting the Ohio State GIMP DEM (Greenland Ice Mapping Project digital elevation model, Howat et al, 2014) to a format compatible with the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) geogrid program. These files were used in creating datasets for the project’s ERA Interim-based WRF simulations. Files in this archive 1. modified source for convert_geotiff: convert_geotiff-0.1.1.tgz 2. input file for convert_geotiff: gimpdem_90m_msk.tif 3. convert_geotiff output directory: topo_gimp_90m_v5.tar.gz 4. geogrid parameter file: GEOGRID.TBL.ARW_HGT_M (HGT_M entry only) 5. geogrid namelist.wps options: namelist.wps_geogrid 6. example geogrid output: geo_em.d01_sample.nc 7. comparisons to other elevation data: - at GCNet AWS stations: comp_gcnet.txt - on WRF 15-km grid: “HGT_M 2015 vs 2016 with diff.pdf” 8.
