Summary: | The overall goal of the program is to provide a quantitative observationally based assessment of circulation, water mass transformations, and transformation mechanisms in the Eurasian and Makarov Basins of the Arctic Ocean. The NABOS data set includes data collected in 2002-2011. Data include Conductivity-Temperature-Depth (CTD) survey data and mooring data. The region covered by observations is the eastern Eurasian Basin and Laptev Sea of the Arctic Ocean. CTD observations were carried out using SBE19plus instrument. Mooring observations included CTD measurements using SBE37 and current measurements using Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCP) 300 kHz and Recording Current Meters (RCM). In addition, CTD plus current measurements were conducted using McLane Mooring Profilers (MMP). This is a revised data set. We improved metadata with description of data, instruments, and procedures used to collect data. We also changed CTD data output making them all with the same 1m vertical resolution.
