Description
Summary:Stream samples collected in submerged 10 mL polyethylene sample bottles. Ice and snow collected in plastic bags with air squeezed out, and transferred into polyethylene bottles after melting. Rain collected as spilloff from the roof of the William G. Holmes research station and transferred into polyethylene bottles after a full sample has accumulated. Oxygen (δ18O) and deuterium (δD) isotope anlyzed with Wavelength-Scanned Cavity Ringdown Spectroscopy at the Colorado Plateau Stable Isotope Laboratory, NAU. Analytical precision is approx 0.3‰ for δ18O and 0.8‰ for δD (Los Gatos Research, 2016). Ion chromatography performed by Tom Douglas of Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC). Samples analyzed for chloride, nitrate, sulfate, sodium, potassium, magnesium & calcium. The following samples were below detection: fluoride, bromide, nitrate, phosphate, lithium, ammonium.
