Summary:The ~14,000 measurements of snow depth on sea ice are from 7 locations off the Antarctic Peninsula in the Bellingshausen sea and ~40 locations directly off the coast of Finland in the Baltic sea. The Arctic represents 78% of the measurements and the Antarctic represents the remaining 22%. The Finnish Meteorological Institute Sea Ice Observers data spans from from 1990-2012 while all the Antarctic data is all from 2007 and, hence, is not shown in a histogram.
