These data were collected during the ASGARD cruise during June 2017. Data were collected at 1-2 depths within the water column on all the 'core' stations, as well as several other stations to fill in the spatial gaps. Replicate samples were analyzed at some stations. Samples were analyzed by FlowCAM image analysis to quantify the abundance and size of large diatom particles (> 20 um). The total volume of living diatom particles and an indication of the dominant taxa along with the sample name (includes station and CTD number, depth, date and time of sample run), latitude, longitude, sample depth, and run volume, are provided in the summary file (summary.csv). In addition to these summary data, there are separate files for each sample that include attributes for every particle classified. File names format is St_XXX_Xm_XXXX.csv: station (St) number (ST_XXX, a three digit identifier), sample depth in meters (Xm or XXm), and the time of the sample run (HHMM, four digits).
