Description
Summary:NODC Accession 0114433 includes biological, chemical, discrete sample, physical and profile data collected from G.O. SARS in the Barents Sea, North Atlantic Ocean, North Greenland Sea, North Sea and Norwegian Sea from 2009-05-28 to 2009-08-11 and retrieved during cruise BIAC, CARBOOCEAN, CLIVAR_58GS20090528 and MERCLIM. These data include ALKALINITY, CHLOROFLUOROCARBON-11 (CFC-11), CHLOROFLUOROCARBON-12 (CFC-12), CHLOROPHYLL A, DISSOLVED INORGANIC CARBON, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, NITRATE, NITRITE, PHAEOPHYTIN, PHOSPHATE, Potential temperature (theta), SALINITY, SILICATE, SULFUR HEXAFLUORIDE (SF6) and WATER TEMPERATURE. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD and bottle. These data were collected by Truls Johannessen and Are Olsen of University of Bergen; Bjerknes Center for Climate Research; Geophysical Institute as part of the CLIVAR_58GS20090528 data set. The International CLIVAR Global Ocean Carbon and Repeat Hydrography Program carries out a systematic and global re-occupation of select WOCE/JGOFS hydrographic sections to quantify changes in storage and transport of heat, fresh water, carbon dioxide (CO2), and related parameters.
