Temperature profile, light transmission, and water depth data were collected using CTD and light transmissometer casts from the OCEANUS in the Northwest Atlantic Ocean. Data were collected from 29 September 1981 to 15 July 1982 by U.S. Geological Survey; Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution with support from the New England Continental Margin project.
