After Suchira's discussion with Mitchell it is confirmed that the data in the accession and the submitter do not match. Suchira proposes putting all the details available in supplemental information till the dicrepencies can be sorted out and leaving only one paragraph abstract. The paragraph written by Suchira is--The data in this accession is archived hydrographic data sets spanning a period of 52 years from January 1932 to December 1984. Originator's data submitted in total of 43 tapes by Compass Systems, Inc. have been converted to the current NODC data storage format. Data were submitted by Mr. Arthur D. Stroud. These data sets contain physical profile data collected by multiple institutions spread across the world in different sea areas such as North Atlantic Ocean, North Pacific Ocean, South Pacific Ocean, Mediterranean Sea, Coastal Waters of California, Coastal Waters of Washington/Oregon and Drake Passage using multiple ships.
