Summary: | The vascular plant flora of Greenland has been increased by four new species, Puccinellia bruggemanni, Pedicularis sudetica ssp. albolabiata, Geum rossii , and Trientalis europaea , and one subspecies, Phippsia algida ssp. algidiformis . In addition, the viviparous form of Poa hartzii f. prolifera has been found for the first time in Greenland. For each taxa a description of the habitat, the known distribution in Greenland, and the total distribution are given. The possible immigration routes and relative age of the species in the Greenland flora are discussed. Totally, the number of vascular plant species in Greenland has been increased by eleven since the publication of the Flora of Greenland in 1978 giving 513. |
