Summary:SUMMARY The birds found on Grimsey in 1949 are listed. Special points of interest concern the Meadow Pipit, Fulmar, Snipe, Redshank, Bridled Guillemot and Little Auk. Gannet and Wheatear had disappeared. Particular attention was paid to the distribution of Brunnich's and Common Guillemots, which were found to be breeding respectively‐more on the steeper cliffs and more on the broader ledges.
