ISOLATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF β‐LIPOTROPIN FROM FIN WHALE PITUITARY GLANDS

The isolation and characterization of β‐lipotropin from fin whale (Balaenoptera physalus) pituitary glands are described. The proposed primary structure is also presented. Fin whale β‐LPH exhibited an identical lipolytic activity when compared with human hormone.
