Absence of restriction site variation in the mitochondrial ND5 and ND6 genes of Atlantic salmon amplified by the polymerase chain reaction

There was no restriction site variation in Atlantic salmon mitochondrial DNA in an amplified DNA segment beginning in the ND5 gene and terminating in the ND6 gene, although seven haplotypes were observed when the complete molecule was restricted.
