Is the ragged‐tooth shark cosmopolitan? First record from the western North Atlantic

This paper describes the first reported occurrence of Odontaspis ferox , in the western Atlantic (Yucatan shelf, Mexico). The geographical distribution of O. ferox is summarized and the likely cosmopolitan distribution of the species is discussed.
