Ultrasonography, a non–invasive method for sex determination in cod ( Gadus morhua

Ultrasonography is a fast, accurate, and non–invasive method to determine the sex of cod ( Gadus morhua ). In this study it was used on 788 farmed cod ranging in age from 1 to 6 yr. Accuracy of sex determination was over 95% for fish subjected to Ultrasonography from October to April.
