Occurrence of Atlantic salmon parr in redds at spawning time

Several Atlantic salmon parr of different sizes were found alive in salmon redds under a 10–30 cm layer of stones at spawning time. Parr, both mature and immature, remain inactive in redds during daylight but show nocturnal activity.
