Abstract Many firms have contingency plans to deal with “common” disasters—such as hurricanes or earthquakes. But would your company be ready for a costly avian flu pandemic? It can occur in any season. The author explains how to plan for such an emergency. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
