Learning communities in remote retreat settings

Abstract The formation of learning communities in remote retreat settings, specifically Yukon Island in Alaska, is the focus of this chapter. Testimony by learners and facilitators is included to enhance the discussion of the learning environment, the creation of community, and the learning process.
