The deepest sounding in the North Atlantic

Deep soundings near the eastern end of the Brownson deep to the north of Hispaniola (Haiti) are discussed. The deepest are those obtained by the U. S. S. Milwaukee and the Theodore N. Gill , which give 5030 fathoms.
