Natural vegetation includes 9 classes of formations, 18 groups of formations and 78 formations. The richest are the steppes (3 classes of formations, 6 groups of formations and 27 formations) and meadows (3 classes of formations, 8 groups of formations and 21 formations). A significant part of the city is covered with residential and industrial buildings, asphalted and concreted areas and roads, where the vegetation cover has been completely destroyed. Inside some city micro-districts and quarters, courtyards, clumps of forest vegetation have been preserved, on the outskirts of the city, river banks, canals, islands, meadow and swampy areas, bush and aquatic vegetation are common, steppe areas are found on the southern slopes of the Yenisei banks.
