The genus Anonyx (Crustacea, Amphipoda) in the North Pacific and Arctic oceans: the Anonyx bispinosus group

The Anonyx bispinosus group consists of medium to large species which are characterized by the morphology of the inner ramus of the second uropod. This is notably shorter than the outer ramus, narrowed throughout its length, and bears a long spine near its midpoint. This group consists of eight species, of which four, A. grebnitzkii, A. pseudeous, A. eousides, and A. pareous, are described as new. All eight species have been collected in the North Pacific, and only one, A. bispinosus, has been found as far way as the Barents Sea.
