Redescription of Neomesomermis flumenalis (Nematoda) from blackflies in Newfoundland

Neomesomermis flumenalis, a mermithid parasite of North American simuliids, is described from Newfoundland blackflies. The eggs and preparasitic stages of this mermithid have not previously been encountered.
