Summary:Samples were obtained in the littoral region of six small waters in the eastern portion of the Avalon Peninsula, Newfoundland. The Cladocera encountered in the collections are listed. Of the 13 species and varieties that were identified, 10 are new for the island of Newfoundland, 8 are new for the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, and 5 are new for Canada. Acroperus alonoides Hudendorff and Graptoleberis testudinaria occidentalis Sars have not previously been identified from North America.
