Paracanthocephalus rauschi sp. n. is described from grayling, Thymallus arcticus, and incidentally in otter, Lutra canadensis, from Alaska. It is most similar to P. tenuirostris Achmerov and Dombrovskaja-Achmerova, 1941, differing from it in having eggs 65–88 microns long rather than 40–41 microns long, and hooks on the female up to 167 microns long rather than up to 119 microns long. A key to the species in Paracanthocephalus is included.
