The chief object of the new society is to act as a clearing house of information on Antarctica, to assist organisers and members of Antarctic expeditions, and to spread knowledge of the Antarctic regions. To this end the Society will collect books, reports, maps, photographs, etc., relating to the Antarctic, and it is hoped that much of the material obtained will be published in an Antarctic Magazine, to be brought out by the Society twice a year, the first issue of which will appear in April, 1935. The membership fee is one dollar a year. Those interested are asked to get into touch with Mr August Horowitz, Organising Secretary, 265 West Chester Street, Long Beach, N.Y., U.S.A. The membership fee entitles members to the magazine of the Society.
