Of the other eight known species of Psilochasmus , five have already been synonymized and the remaining three, namely, P. indicus Gupta, 1957, P. alii Jaiswal, 1957, and P. megacetabulus Jaiswal, 1957, are declared synonyms of P. oxyurus .
