Summary:Abstract The Soricid flea Falaeopsylla soricis (Dale, I878) and the Microtine flea Malaraeus penicilliger (Grube, I85I) have both been split into several subspecies, some of which occur in Fennoscandia. Their status and supposed immigration routes to the Scandinavian Peninsula in relation to their host animals are discussed and their distribution in this area is recorded.
