Despite a significant number of nonoverlapping genes (ca. 30%), similarities of this strain to “ Candidatus Nitrosopumilus maritimus” were revealed by core genes for archaeal ammonia oxidation and carbon fixation, G+C content, and extensive synteny conservation.
