From these a detailed geomorphic and cryopedological chronology of the area is attempted. The highly polygonized tundra areas are judged to be less than 8300 yr old. Much of the older peat has been reworked. The artifacts are from the second millenium AD. A correction is made in Arctic, v 18, no 2, p 122. |
