Pavlos Polakis

Pavlos Polakis (; born 11 May 1965) is a Greek surgeon and politician.

Polakis was the mayor of Sfakia on the island of Crete. In the January 2015 legislative election, he was elected a member of the Hellenic Parliament for Chania on the SYRIZA list. He was appointed to the First Cabinet of Alexis Tsipras as Deputy Minister of the Interior and Administrative Reconstruction. Reelected in the September 2015 legislative election, Polakis was appointed Alternate Minister of Health in the Second Tsipras Cabinet. In the 2019 parliamentary elections, he was reelected with the most individual preference votes in his district. Provided by Wikipedia
